Delny House now owned by the Daniels family

I met the family through Lee who was one of the random friendly people I meet everyday on this walk. Except Lee is one of those special people that go above and beyond to help, even if you don't ask directly. I mentioned I was doing the walk for charity and he said if I needed food I could see CCAST and he took me to introduce me to the staff. What seems like small acts of kindness from people turn into the long term memories. It then turned out I could stay at Claire's from a phone call from her mum. Lee said Hello and asked if I was camping. If he hadn't of initiated that conversation my entire afternoon would have been different and I would not have the excellent memories I have now.

Of Claire sipping some very fine Scottish Whiskey and dancing to Britney Spears...hilarious. Claire invited me in like I was family. She offered me tea and wine, pizza for dinner. A shower, to wash my clothes and charge my devices. She offered to check for tics and as a nurse we had a lot of great meaningful discussions about mental health, caring for people, society and politics. Her children were all gorgeous and I really wanted to take her dogs with me.

I don't know if it's their faith and strength with god without being religious or judgemental but their entire family are the ultimate carers. Claire mum works with CCAST Highland, Claire is a nurse, mum of four and opened her home to only me but the husbands from the Netherlands who were renting out one of her rooms and her daughter volunteered making homes in Uganda for a year. The whole family comes across saintly in the best way possible. If everyone gave the way their family does, no one would ever be in need again

Thank You so much for your hospitality. Daniels family: Peace and Love forever.
